Pizza night is a common occurence in the American household. Sometimes it's delivery, sometimes it's frozen. According to a 2014 article by The Atlantic, 1 in 8 Americans will eat pizza today. At the vanguard of this statistic is the 1 in 4 teenage American boys who will eat pizza today. And why not? Pizza is universally loved. Have a picky eater in the family? They probably still like pizza.
So, we all know pizza is a staple of the diet, but maybe your not quite satisfied with pizza night. Maybe you'd like it to have a little more pizazz. Why not make your own? Get the family together and have everyone pitch in a hand. Cooking together as a family can reinforce bonds, foster teamwork, and instill lessons to the kids on how to cook.
My favorite pizza is the margherita pizza. Basil, mozzarella, yum. My favorite cooking website is allrecipes.com and there piece on margherita pizza has never failed me. What you'll need is roma tomatos, olive oil, garlic, sea salt, mozzarella cheese, fontina cheese, basil leaves, parmesan cheese, feta cheese, and of course, dough. From start till finished product, we're forty minutes of family away from a great family meal. Food is always better when you make it and enjoy it together.
Have fun with the family cooking up a great pizza, and when the chores roll around, give You've Got Maids a call to clean up the mess!
