You’ve Got Maids was founded by veterans of the franchise industry. The mission when creating You’ve Got Maids had three parts:
1) To improve the lives of our employees.
2) To provide safe, detailed, environmentally-conscious cleaning services to its clients.
3) To deliver a winning system for success for their franchisees.
The founders, both grandchildren of immigrants who had started their American journey as cleaners, knew from decades of experience as entrepreneurs in the franchise industry that a home cleaning service could help fulfill the dreams of its employees, clients, and franchisees. They had previously owned Domino's Pizza franchises in New Jersey and South Carolina with the New Jersey location repeatedly ranked in the top 20 out of over 7,000 Domino’s Stores at the peak of their season each year and secured a spot in the elite Top 5 on multiple occasions. Desiring better work-life balance, they sold their stores and began researching opportunities to leverage their experience to founding a national franchise. After intense deliberation, they resolved that the cleaning sector presented the greatest opportunity due to its deep fragmentation with few regional or national brand leaders.
The flagship location was launched in Orlando, FL in 2005, and operations were expanded to Charleston, SC in 2007. After years of perfecting and streamlining operations, You’ve Got Maids began franchising in 2010. Within a few short years, You've Got Maids opened dozens of locations stretching from coast to coast.
Every detail of You’ve Got Maids has been crafted to gain and maintain the target clientele, from the legendary logo and sticky slogan to the memorable maidmobiles. Early on, our commitment to the community was evident through several campaigns to raise funds or provide pro bono service. Eventually, we formed a partnership with Cleaning For A Reason and have wholeheartedly worked to empower their mission- providing free cleaning services to cancer patients going through therapy.
You've Got Maids is nearly two decades old and in a world of disruption, we've made it clear that we're here to stay. Since 2005, we've done business through the Great Recession and COVID-19. Our devotion as a company to our employees, our clients, and our franchisees has served as a beacon to a path that has served us well. As we look toward the future, we thank all those who have been a part of our journey. There are a million clean bathrooms behind us and millions more before us. We welcome the interest of all those who want to be a part of the next stage of our journey as we continue to clean up America.
