From this day, until June 21st, it is officially the Spring of 2018. Have you already given up on some or all of your New Year's resolutions? Well, no worries, let's make some Spring 2018 resolutions. Summer is coming. Let's tidy up the diet, the closet, and whole dang house in preparation. You can do this.
According to some, Spring Cleaning has it roots in Persia, where Nowruz or the New Year is in Spring, and is commerated by a thorough cleaning. Others believe Spring Cleaning comes from ancient Israel and the tradition of preparing the home before the Passover. Still others think it just seems like a good idea all around. Wherever or whenever it might've started, we certainly didn't start the fire, but it's not going out anytime soon.
Before we get started talking about Spring Cleaning, we should first consider the clutter of unnecessary things in our lives that are filling our space and dragging us down. Here's a nice list of things that can be tossed, donated, and repurposed from Bonnie of "The Joyful Organizer".
Phew, decluttering was surprisingly tough yet cathartic. It turns out we didn't need as many things as we previously thought. Now that there's all this space, and we can see more of the floor, it's time for a thorough cleaning. Now, you can do this yourself. Or, you could bring in the professionals at You've Got Maids® to get the job done to an expert level. Our maids specialize in the 52-Point Spring Clean®.
Now, if you're dead set on going through the trouble, here's a how-to from Amanda at "Love and Renovations". It'll only take you three days!
