Hi! My name is Natasha and I'm the owner and president of You've Got Maids of Northern Virginia. I wanted to use one of my blogs to tell you a bit about myself and why I chose to become your You've Got Maids franchisee here in NoVA.
I spent more than 20 years working as a senior accountant and controller in commercial real estate and property management. Over the years we hired several different cleaning companies to clean our home – and unfortunately, they almost always did a terrible job. They would miss spots, leave things cluttered, sometimes even arrive late. My family was constantly having to pick up after them. (Imagine needing to clean up AFTER the cleaners!) It was not an enjoyable experience.
Coming from the corporate world, I knew it wasn't the maids' fault. The problem was their leadership. The women who came to my home wanted to do a good job, but they hadn't been given the right training by their management. What's worse, they had no way of getting useful feedback from customers so they'd know how to improve and what to do better next time.
So when I got the opportunity to own my own professional cleaning company, I promised myself I would provide that leadership and be committed to constantly improving the quality of our service. I'm happy to say that's exactly what we've been doing at You've Got Maids of Northern Virginia for almost four years now.

Before we do the first job for a new customer, I personally go and meet them at their home for a free estimate. I introduce myself and listen carefully to what the customer expects from their cleaning service.
I ask about any special requests or circumstances we should be aware of. Things like: How long have you lived in your home? Is there something in particular you want the team to focus on? Is there a pet who needs to be put away while the team works? We want to know. (We even want to know their names!) It's all about making your family feel safe and taken care of.

If we say we're going to do something, we do it – and we never make false promises. We pay close attention to the little things, tiny details most maid services overlook, things like making sure the pictures hanging on the wall are nice and straight, making sure the towels are hung right, even putting our You've Got Maids stickers on the paper towels!

Every maid on every team wears a face mask, booties, hairnet and gloves, and her temperature is checked before she goes out on a cleaning job.
