    How to Clean Your Furniture

      Amanda  |    Aug 18, 2015 2:52:00 PM  |    House Cleaning Tips

We all have some type of furniture. So the question is How do you clean your furniture? I know most of us know how to do it, but do you think about the small details, like under the couch. Make sure you are vacuuming it often and make sure you get in-between the seams. Depending on what type of couch you have, you can do 1 part of laundry detergent to 4 parts of water. Use a rag and wipe the area to help it have that fresh smell, then just rinse it and let it dry. If you have a couch that you can't get wet, then just put some baking soda on it and leave for 20 minutes and vacuum it up. That's it, you can see the video up above.

    Hydrogen Peroxide

      Amanda  |    Aug 4, 2015 8:07:44 AM  |    House Cleaning Tips

You can use Hydrogen Peroxide on a number of things in the house. You can use it on clothes to get stains out if you aren't too keen on the bleach. You can use it on the tooth-brush for the germs. You just put the Hydrogen Peroxide in a glass and let the tooth-brush soak for a bit to kill the germs, and you are good to go. You can also use it on mold. Just spray it on the mold and let it sit for at least 10 minutes then scrub it off. You can use it on cutting boards and other things around the house. See the video for more details.

Do you have extra bars of soap someone got you for Christmas, or you've changed brand names? Here are some Soap Bar Tips and how to use them up. You can use the soap for a squeaky door. Just rub the bar on the hinges and it will help for a while. Or you can rub the bar of soap over your mirrors lightly to fix the foggy mirror issue. The last one that I found interesting, was to keep a hanging bar of soap near your garden to keep the deer away. Does anyone know if this one really works? For the full list click here.

You've had those nights where you are cooking and before you know it, your ceramic cook top stove is all gross looking and brown. You don't know what happened, but you know it needs cleaned. Lets it sit for a while, then uses a razor to scrape it off. He uses a pad to scrub the rest off and it looks 100% better. As always before trying anything, try a little spot first. Make sure you don't scratch your stove top. These videos and blogs are just suggestions and a "try at your own risk".
