The Owners
Both from the UK originally, Lizzie and Tony have been together for over 11 years and have a daughter aged 6. Coincidentally, they both come from the same town in East London, and have many mutual friends, however, they did not meet each other this way having somehow spent their previous 33 years, not quite meeting one another.
Lizzie Slade
Lizzie has a strong background in Investment Banking and Foreign Exchange management, working for some of the world’s biggest financial corporations such as Bank of New York Mellon and Barclay’s Global Investments for over 25 years during which time she routinely managed high end clients. Her attention to detail is second to none, and due to her obsession with house cleaning; Tony’s nickname for her since they first met is Monica Gellar from Friends.
Tony Slade
Tony, in contrast, has run his own Property Development Company and Construction / Refurbishment Company over the years working on many landmark properties in London, including the Palace of Westminster, Tower of London, The Savoy Hotel and many other famous hotels in London. From this, Tony’s biggest frustrations were how dirty sites were left after the construction work had finished prior to be handed over to the client.
Tony also worked for large Car Dealership groups including running Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, Land Rover & Volvo dealerships. When Tony took over these dealerships, these were at the bottom of the league for client satisfaction and work place satisfaction, and under his guidance, these dealerships, were within a year, in the top 5 for the respective manufacturer’s.
They both believe that in providing a safe and happy work place environment, this will filter down to their clients. They have a very strong work ethic and implement a culture throughout of achieving 100% Client Satisfaction each and every time. They take every staff or client concern seriously and it is only by doing this that they have quickly become the Number 1 Ranked Maid Service in the Conejo Valley for Customer Satisfaction. From this ethos, they have quickly been able to expand into Malibu and the Camarillo and Ventura areas.
You’ve Got Maids of Thousand Oaks was opened at the beginning of this year by Lizzie & Tony Slade after they identified a real need for a decent house cleaning service in the local area. They searched for a reputable licensed, bonded and insured maid service to no avail. The calls they received were from lone maids who were so cheap, that there was no way they could be insured, and then at the other end of the spectrum, the more reputable home cleaning companies were so busy, they couldn’t squeeze another client into their schedule.
