Does The 80-20 Rule Apply To Professional Cleaning Service?

First, let's define the 80-20 Rule.

In 1906, Italian economist Vilfredo Pareto¹ created The Pareto Principle. You know it as the 80/20 Rule². Pareto's mathematical formula initially describes the unequal distribution of wealth in Italy, by observing that 20% of the people owned 80% of the wealth. This 80-20 rule is now applied to many things, from the corporate boardroom to your closet.

Your closet? Yes it is true. Vilfredo Pareto, if he was alive today, would be able to apply his 80-20 Rule to your closet without ever visiting your home. He would tell you that you wear 20% of your wardrobe 80% of the time.

Most American businesses have recognized that 80% of their businesses comes from 20% of it's Clients. This was true for me as a franchisee for Domino's Pizza, but I am here to tell you that Pareto's 80-20 Rule does not apply to the professional cleaning service franchise industry!

85 to 95% of our cleaning service revenues come from regular weekly or every other week repeat cleaning service Clients. 5 to 15% of our professional cleaning services revenues come from one time home cleanings, move out house cleanings, & move in house cleanings. Professional cleaning service franchises are amazingly scalable businesses.
