How to clean your Hair Brush

I'm not sure how often anyone cleans their hair brush? Normally when we use the hair brush we are trying to get around and get out of the house. I find myself just cleaning it when it gets to the point of It looks like a small mouse has made a bed on the brush. I know...gross, right? But normally I am running short on time and I have to hurry. When I do have time, I don't think about cleaning out the brush. I'll have to go home and clean my hair brush this weekend.

It's really simple and doesn't take much time. You just need to get some scissors and cut down a row that goes between the bristles. Then pull off the hair from the brush, making sure you aren't using anything else that will pop off the little beads that protect the bristles. Yep I never thought about this either, I've always just used another brush to pull off the hair, and the next brushing I noticed that the little beads were missing as the rough bristle ran over my scalp. Anyway, after that put it in the sink with warm water and a little of shampoo let it sit for a few. Give it a good scrub with a tooth-brush to get all the hair spray and nasty stuff that builds up on the brush (you know what I'm talking about), rinse it off and let it air dry. There you have it a clean brush till it builds up again.
