    Damp Mopping Wood Floors

I don't have wood floors, but this looks like a good cleaner for them if you want to do a damp mopping, instead of a steam mopping. Pour 1/2 gallon of warm water into a mop buck, add 1/2 gallon of distilled white vinegar. I think you could cut that in half if you didn't want to make that much cleaner. You could also measure out 15 drops of an oil, in the scent you want, to counter the odor of the vinegar. Stir the mixture around, then submerge your mop or sponge in the bucket. Wring it out thoroughly, scrub the floor, rinsing the mop often and wringing it out. Make sure the floor dries before walking on it, and make sure it doesn't get too wet.

Cleaning Vinyl, Stone and Tile Floors

Cleaning vinyl, stone and tile floors. We all know you have to be careful when washing some of these floors, as you don't want to remove the finish on it. or give it a cloudy look. This recipe suggests that you fill a mop bucked with 1 gallon of warm water. Then pour 1/2 cup white vinegar into the water. Stir the mixture up, wet your mop or sponge and wring it out. Mop and allow the floor to dry thoroughly. They also suggest if you're mopping a vinyl and linoleum floor that you can add 1 tsp of baby oil as an option for polishing the floor while cleaning it.
