Then you just need some cream of tartar, a little water, a sponge and some paper towels or an old rag.

You just mix a little of the water with the cream of tartar and scrub the toaster, making sure you do a little spot at a time. No one wants tartar tasting toast. Once you finish scrubbing the area, take a damp towel, wipe it clean then dry it. Repeat the steps often till you are fully done. Then stand back and look at your work.
