We all know that beauty products are expensive. From your name brand lotions to your drugstore lipsticks, it's difficult to find cheap, quality products that you'll reach for everyday. There's also risk that comes with spending so little on makeup, as you don't know what kinds of chemicals are going into those products. Are you tired of not being able to read and understand the majority of the ingredients on the label of your face wash? Do you want to be able to spend less on skin care and makeup? Don't worry; we've covered all of the natural DIYs for your favorite products.

SHAMPOO:

  • 1/4 cup of liquid castile soap
  • 1/4 cup of coconut milk
  • 15 drops of your favorite essential oil

Add to an old shampoo bottle, soap dispenser, or mason jar. Shake well before each use, and enjoy your new all-natural shampoo!

CONDITIONER:

  • 1 tablespoon of coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 1 teaspoon of rose water
  • 2 tablespoons of curd

Mix these well and add them to a bottle, making sure to shake it before you use it. The coconut also helps your hair grow longer and makes it much softer.

SKIN CARE PRODUCTS

LOTION:

  • 1/4 cup of coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup of almond oil
  • 1/4 cup of beeswax
  • 2 tablespoons of shea butter
  • 10 drops of essential oils

Add every ingredient to a pot on top of the stove, except for the essential oils. Once it's fully melted, add in the essential oils. Move the finished product into whatever jar or container you want to store your lotion in.

SUGAR SCRUB/EXFOLIATOR:

  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup of coconut oil
  • 15 drops of essential oils

Put the sugar and coconut oil into a mixing bowl and mix thoroughly. Stir in the essential oils, then put the scrub into a mason jar for storage.

DEODORANT:

  • 1/4 cup of arrowroot flour
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons of baking soda
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons of shea butter
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons of coconut oil
  • 12 drops of essential oils

Put the coconut oil and shea butter into a pot and add a little bit of water to bring the mixture to a boil. Stir until melted. Then, add the rest of the ingredients and put the product into a container that can go in the fridge for cooling. Use when necessary.

CLEAR LIB BALM:

  • 1 teaspoon of coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon of beeswax pastilles
  • 1 teaspoon of cocoa butter

In a pot of simmering water, melt these ingredients together in a glass jar. Once they've fully melted, pour it into a small jar that will serve as your lip balm container.

MASCARA:

  • 4 teaspoons of aloe vera gel
  • 2 capsules of activated charcoal
  • 2 teaspoons of coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon of grated beeswax pellets

Melt the beeswax, aloe vera, and coconut oil together. When completely melted, pour and stir in the contents of your open charcoal capsules. At this point, you can try different methods of pouring this mixture into a mascara tube, but I recommend using a smaller jar and mascara wand, since it's easier to work with.
