Doesn't it seem like that breaking news is only ever half right? With time, the truth always comes out. What is worrisome is that during events such as the current coronavirus pandemic, we need to have the right information. Protecting our families and communities through attaining and spreading correct information is a social duty we all share.

To get the right information, we strongly suggest following the guidelines and recommendations coming from the CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention). Regarding the myth's associated with the coronavirus, we've done some sleuthing and found some common ones that have been debunked by reputable sources such as the CDC and WHO.

Weather and Coronavirus

Think your community is too hot or too cold to get the coronavirus? Unfortunately, no, the coronavirus can spread in both the heat and the cold. So, scrap your plans to go hide in Florida or Alaska and hunker down where you are.

Unfortunately, garlic doesn't kill the coronavirus. Does that mean you should stop ordering garlic knots from your local pizzeria? No- support your local food and beverage industry and remember that garlic knots always make the day a little better.

While older people are more vulnerable, coronavirus doesn't play favorites. Anybody can get it and nobody should feel immune. Young people have a social obligation to take this seriously, knowing that the spread of coronavirus will have dangerous impacts on our seniors.
