"Sure people have faults. But so does the person who's looking for a faultless friend. In fact, his greatest fault is the misconception that perfection in relationships exists. The Hasidic rabbis have a saying that is right on when it comes to relationships: One who looks for a friend without faults will have none."
Zig Ziglar, Better Than Good
This Zig Ziglar quote just jumped off the page at me. On my lunch break I like to read things that will expand and elevate my understanding of this world we live in. Earlier I had spoken with three prospective clients, all searching for a new house cleaning service. Every one of them had a long list of faults on their last cleaning service. They wanted to know how You’ve Got MAIDS would be different sort of house cleaning company.
So I did the only thing I could think of. I told the truth. I told them what differentiates You’ve Got MAIDS from the competition. I also admitted that even though we rededicate ourselves daily to eliminating all faults in the search of perfect house cleaning…we too fall short.
Here is what we do to chase after perfect house cleaning:
I didn't promise we would be perfect. I wish we could, but even Rosie the ROBOT MAID from the Jetsons wasn't perfect all of the time. Rosie was an old second hand robot maid hired by the Jetson family from U-RENT A MAID (a pun on U-HAUL).
