Franchising Industry Growth

Earlier this year, CNBC's Kate Rogers published an article about the major growth possible in the franchise industry. In the article, Ms. Rogers cites "tax reform, deregulation, and upbeat economy" as reason for this years continuance of strong momentum in the franchise industry. The report cites expectations of an expansion by about 750,000 franchise establishments, growing numbers of employment, and nearly half a trillion in revenue.

In the article Robert Cresanti, IFA President and CEO stated, "franchises will thrive and continue to strengthen the American economy by providing jobs in every community, playing an important role in the lives of Americans, and supporting a variety of job creating industries, from manufacturing to agriculture." The IFA also projects that states in the west and the south will be the areas where franchising will grow the most.
