- If we may be so bold, this could have been avoided. If Victoria Principal had entrusted her house cleaning to a professional house cleaning franchise, like You’ve Got MAIDS, she would have insulated herself from managing her maid. Victoria would not have to fire her maid…we would. If it was just a clash of personalities (it happens) we would have reassigned the maid to another client, given Ms. Principal another maid, and avoided this Jerry Springer moment. It amazes me how smart people complicate their lives by hiring independent maids…when one hires a independent maid you become an employer, responsible for paying payroll taxes & insurance, doing background checks, and the thankless job of managing the maid.
