It was a dark day for our maid service franchise, when one of our house cleaners erroneously allowed a clients cat to escape.

Carolyn, our client, returned home on her scheduled maid service day to find their cat, Casper, missing. Casper didn’t pull an Andy Dupree who crawled through a river of kitty litter and came out clean on the other side. No, Casper most likely walked right out the front door…a true Pawshank Redemption.

Carolyn’s husband combed the neighborhood and thankfully found Casper. Carolyn let a week pass before sending us a most polite email. Carolyn’s email begins…

Dear Frank and Cynthia,

I hope you had a great Thanksgiving…

She then detailed what happened, she spoke to how important her pets are to her, and lastly she gave detailed instructions on how to manage Casper in the future. Carolyn even detailed where the maids could find Casper ‘s cat treats!

Our maids messed up. Carolyn and her husband could have berated us over the phone for an hour and then fired us as the exclamation point, but she didn’t. She forgave us! She also gave us feedback that will improve the likelihood that this will never happen again in her house. It won’t, because we have your number Casper. Casper you can plan your great escape when the plumber visits, but you aren’t going to slip past You’ve Got MAIDS again.
