Ronald McDonald House Hits Close to Home

Fifteen years ago, my wife and I spent the better part of a week at Nemours - Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children with our infant son. We had known from six months that he had an issue that required life saving surgery within weeks of his birth. Nemours was 91 miles from our home, and it was the best hospital in the area for this procedure. We are grateful to the staff at Nemours for pointing us across the street to the Ronald McDonald House (RMH)...what a God send that was.

RMH Changed the Way I Viewed McDonald's

We never forgot the good deed that McDonald's did for our family in our hour of need. Everyday McDonald's employees and franchisees are making the world just a little bit better. Wouldn't it be great if all companies could do the same?

It's been fifteen years since the McDonald's people gave my wife and I nourishment and a clean room to rest in while my son fought for his life. Today, I am grateful to report our healthy boy has a drivers permit, and if he passes the test this fall could be navigating his way through the McDonalds Drive Thru line. Life is good.
