White sneakers are a good look. Just ask Jerry Seinfeld. That being said, as time passes and your sneakers get a little dirty, they're less and less appealing. As such, we've scoured the internet for you, looking for the best pieces of advice in regards to cleaning shoes.  When it comes to cleaning your sneakers, there are generally speaking two ways of going about it. There's the manual method, and the machine wash method.

 

The Manual Method

  1. Brush off loose dirt using an old toothbrush.
  2. In a bowl or bucket, mix together warm water and a small dose of laundry detergent to great somewhat soapy mix.
  3. Using a sponge or soft cloth, begin to clean the dirty shoes with the warm water mix.
  4. Set out the shoes to air dry at room temperature.

The Machine Wash Method

To answer the popular question, yes, you can machine wash your sneakers. However, you probably shouldn't dry them in a dryer.
