Spring Cleaning was first used as a term in 1857. Spring cleaning however is a universal idea, wherein people clean out their homes to welcome the warmer weather. We have only nine days left until the official beginning of Spring. Woo-hoo! According to a Gallup poll, Spring is America's favorite season. Unsurprisingly, winter is the least favorite season. To round it out, fall comes in second and summer comes in third. Furthermore, those over the age of 65 prefer spring by the largest margin, with over half of seniors choosing spring as their favorite season.

There's a few tips of the trade for those of you with stained plastic cutting boards. We're avoiding the usage of bleach as per normal. We really just don't like bleach. It stains clothes, is toxic to the touch, and just is generally something we prefer to not have in the house. In fact, we used to use bleach in our house cleaning in our early years, but soon decided to remove it from our tool kit. We now cleans without bleach. And come to think of it, do you really want bleach on something that you'll be putting foods that you're going to eat on? I do not.
