How much should I expect to pay for maid service? Let’s start off with the premise that maid service is a simple business. It is not easy, but it is simple. In the final conclusion, maid service owners’ broker screened, insured, trained, and professionally managed maid labor. This article will shed light on this process.

The Brady’s home just isn’t the same since Alice the maid had a nervous breakdown and moved to Key West.  Now that she is gone it is apparent that Alice was the only one capable of cleaning up after this Brady Bunch.

From the curb, two seemingly identical homes. Maid service is a simple business…even Gomer Pyle would come the conclusion that the Brady Bunch home demands more maid hours to clean. Tony Nelson home might require 3 maid hours on an every other week basis, while the Brady Bunch needs 5.5 maid hours every week.

Naomi Campbell Throws Phone at Maid

Supermodel Naomi Campbell maid the news when she threw her cell phone at her house cleaner, Ana Scolavino. The fact that Ms. Campbell selectively throws tantrums with her maids and not her superiors is a character flaw of the highest magnitude. I would rather think of Naomi Campbell as some eccentric supermodel whose thing was to chuck cell phones at anyone that displeased her. If that were the case, Katie Ford, President & CEO of Fords Models, Inc., would need to wear a hockey helmet in the event one of her air brush artists displeased the Naomi.

This is not Naomi Campbell’s first incident of abusing employees.

What should you expect from your house cleaning service in regards to cleaning your upholstered couch?

    • Any house cleaning company worth its salt should brush off or vacuum your couch each house cleaning.
    • On an initial cleaning, we call it our 52-Point Spring Clean, the house cleaners should remove all the couch cushions and vacuum or brush out the couch.  Recently our house cleaners found a long lost wallet in a new clients couch!
    • A house cleaning company should have commercial vacuums with the proper attachments to vacuum the area under your couch if it is carpeted.  If it is a hard surface vacuum first and then mop under the couch.
    • Pillows should be arranged on the couch in a decorative fashion.
    • When exiting the house, the house cleaners should leave the couch in presentation condition.  It should be clean, organized and inviting.
